Amarnath cave is a Hindu shrine located in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The cave is situated at an altitude of 3,888 m, about 141 km from Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir and reached through Pahalgam town. The duration of the yatra for this year starting from July 1st to 15th August 2019
Amarnath Cave is considered as the holiest shrine of Lord Shiva and the pilgrimage to this cave attracts thousands of devotees from all around the world every year.
According to Hindu religious belief, the size of Shiva lingam at Amarnath Cave increases and decreases with the different phases of the moon
